Color is not one service, it is a craft with many directions, and the right one depends on your hair, your skin tone, and how much upkeep you want. Whether you are after soft, sun-kissed look, a brighter blonde, or you need to correct color that did not go as planned, here is what to expect when you sit in our chair.
Balayage and dimensional color
When most guests ask for balayage, they are not necessarily asking for the hand-painted technique itself. What they usually want is the look: soft, dimensional, lived-in color with a natural grow-out and more time between appointments.
Traditional balayage is a hand-painted highlighting technique that can create beautiful, organic dimension, but it can also be less predictable. Because the hair is typically lightened in open air, it can be harder to achieve an even lift or reach the brighter levels of blonde that are possible with foils.
And this is also where choosing the right stylist really matters. When dimensional color is placed or lifted incorrectly, you can end up with uneven bands of orange, blonde, and dark hair that can start to look a little more calico cat than soft, blended balayage.
For that reason, we often use foilage or dimensional foiling techniques to create the same soft, beachy, lived-in result with more control. This allows us to achieve brighter, more consistent lightening while still keeping the root soft and the overall finish natural.
The goal is never simply to follow one specific technique. We choose the placement and lightening method based on your hair, your desired result, and how you want your color to grow out.
The result is customized, dimensional color that feels natural, lasts beautifully between appointments, and avoids the harsh regrowth line associated with traditional all-over highlighting.
Blonding, without the brass
Going blonde, or brighter, is where skill really shows. Lifting hair safely and toning it to the exact shade you want, without brassy or muddy tones, takes an expert eye. We treat blonding as a plan, sometimes across more than one visit, so we protect the integrity of your hair while we get you there.
Color correction
If a box color or another salon left you with a shade you do not love, do not keep covering it. Color correction is its own specialty, and one of the most rewarding things we do. Bring us the problem and we will build the honest path back to the color you actually wanted.
Gray, blended not battled
Blending gray so it grows out softly, instead of leaving a hard line every few weeks, is an art form of its own. We can weave it in dimensionally so you spend less time chasing your roots and more time loving your hair.
It starts with a consultation
Every great color starts by looking at your hair in person and talking through what you want. Our color services treat color as an art form, and we build a shade and a plan that fit you.
